TMI About Anthony Garone

For some reason, you chose to load this page. Just remember, you chose to come here. This is an exhaustive page I'm putting together when I get bored at work. Oops... hopefully no one at work will read this.

Stuff I Own

I am materialistic and selfish. It's part of my plight as a human being. Other plights include: having too many interests, being kind-of-a-jerk most of the time, getting anxious about my life every few weeks, and more! Just read my blog to find them all. A prize awaits for the person who can send me a complete list. [Note: if you are my wife, you are not allowed to participate in this contest]

Anyway, here's a list of stuff that I own and use regularly, which will give you more insight as to who I am:

  • Apple 20" Intel iMac (with upgraded video card and RAM, and wireless keyboard and mouse)
  • Digidesign 002Rack with Pro Tools 7 LE
  • Adobe Photoshop CS (waiting for CS3 to come out for my Intel Mac)
  • 8 guitars, 2 of which suck
  • Two Hyundai cars: 2000 Accent and 2005 Elantra, both of which I love
  • A Carvin Vai Legacy combo amplifier
  • A Universal Audio 2108 dual-mono solid-state microphone pre-amp
  • A Konica Minolta DiMage Z6 6 MP/12x optical zoom camera
  • Sonus Faber Concertina speakers

Favourite Things

There's a difference between "this is my favorite" and "this is my favorite." I'll try to cover both. You know... cuz I'm bored. Also, isn't "favorite" cooler with the "u"?

You forgot the part in 2004 where your life was changed when you heard "Machine Gun".

Reading over this, I find it amazing how much we really have in common. We did many of the same things but only a year or two apart, like when we started playing guitar, got our JEMs, Berklee's summer program, even when we had our realizations about religion. How very cosmic.

On 2007-05-31 09:34:07, Steven Garone said, "Interesting"

I find it interesting that the only events in your life involving the family that raised you are moving, working on CDs, and Jennifer getting married. You didn't mention us playing video games, any of Annmarie's plays, any of Jennifer's band competitions, our family trip to Disneyland. Good to know that your family isn't important enough to rank above you finding out about Wolfenstein 3D and a laser pointer fight in college.

Gotta love the influence family has, or doesn't seem to have, in your life. Thanks for mentioning we exist in the story of your life.

Dear Family Police,

I find it interesting that you feel the need to publicly chide your siblings about their relationships with you through comments on their websites/myspace pages instead of calling them on the phone or, perhaps, talking about this stuff in person. This site has never been about details of my personal life and my relationships with people, especially since I do not want to use this site to reveal personal information about my friends and family. In fact, I try to make it less about myself in order to keep the content interesting.

"Gotta love the influence family has, or doesn't seem to have, in your life."

If and when other people read your comment, it will become obvious to them what kind of "influence" you can be.

Anthony

Except, I'm not an influence on you. I'm your younger brother and you're the one who's supposed to be the positive influence in my life... But, oh where oh where has my brother gone? The only way I can learn anything about you is through your website and I don't even know half of the things that went on in your life. I read through this and I wonder, "When the hell did that happen?" and then I check the year and realize that it was after the time when you gave up on your family, mainly after 1982. You write down moments when you had fun with your friends and how much they mean to you. You write about stupid things with laser pointers but not one fun moment you had with your family. None of your siblings are given any real consideration. I'm sure the reason you put that in there is because you used it to advertise your work and people would wonder when she got married and why you didn't put it in there.

If you took a moment and stepped away from how you feel and looked at the people who were always there for you, no matter what, you'd see your family. You'd see the people who supported you when you were in need, who looked out for you when they didn't have to. And, yet, in the grand scheme of things, we don't even get a footnote.

Oh, I know that Joey is now taking care of Mom and Dad...You have to take care of another family now because that's what you married into. But remember who birthed and raised you. Honor thy mother and thy father. Every once in a while, put them first and don't just come to us because you think we'll be upset if you don't.

Chide chide chidey chide chide omega.

I spent my life being compared to you and admiring you because you were my older brother. If I made a list of all the things that went on in my life, you would be a huge portion because I admired you and we lived together for several years. I still admired you when you stopped thinking it was "cool" to be around family and I thought that I should be the same if I were to be like you.

You were gold in the eyes of your parents and you tossed them away like they were nothing. Thank goodness Dad was a musician so that he could get SOME mention in your life and thank goodness that Jennifer got your uncle-in-law to do her pictures so she could be in your life as well.

If I paid you to make a website for me, would I be worthy of note in your life's story?
