Image Gallery: Magnum, P.I. Shirts
Before Christmas, I saw a t-shirt making tutorial at Melissa Clifton's site and was intrigued at the idea of making my own t-shirts. I also had been reading Chris Glass's website and saw some of the awesome t-shirts he's made with his awesome screen printing studio. So, I got inspired and got a very modest start.
I do plan on getting back into this hobby at some point within the next few weeks. My friend and I are actually going to meet about designing some t-shirts on Wednesday night. Hopefully something great will come of that. Anyway, I've been far too busy to work on these sorts of things and I need to pare down my schedule to get back into the artsy stuff and out of the computer stuff.
If you'd be interested in a Magnum, P.I. shirt, let me know in the comments. I'll see what I can do for you. Also, through this experiment, I found out that this stencil would turn out much better with black ink on some light color instead of white on a dark color. You can see how much better the stencil itself looks as compared to the actual shirt print.
This was all done with a sheet of acetate, an x-acto knife, some tape, Speedball textile ink (which is freakin' hard to find around here), and a small paint roller.

Printout
I found a picture of Magnum on the Internet and turned it into a black and white line art image.

Im just chilling to your cd and surfing your site bro. I've only made it two the second song but everything sounds really great so far bro. AND, I definitely wouldn't mind having one of these MPI shirts. I was a huge fan when I was a kid. I mean come on. Tom Selich, Magnum PI and Quigley Down Under. What more do I need to say?

I think the best of all worlds would be to print Magnum on a HAWAIIAN shirt.
