Image Gallery: Hail in Tempe
I don't actually remember when this happened... sometime in 2003, I think. So, the timestamp is totally inaccurate.
Well, it's the first time I've ever seen anything like this happen in the East Valley. I had just gotten done with a terrible midterm, which I probably bombed (eh, it's statistics... who really cares?), and James and I went out to Baja Fresh. Actually, he owed me dinner because I bet him that the Energy Saver Control Panel in Classic mode doesn't work when you're running OS 9 in Classic mode. Anyway, so we get to Baja Fresh and the sky's getting dark, but it's not raining or anything. We go inside, order our food, a couple of minutes later, it's hailing like you wouldn't believe!! Here are the images I took with my phone. This is Tempe, Arizona at the beginning of March. Pretty unheard of. Note the palm trees in a couple of images. Awesome. Anyway, on with the show!
