My Rating: 5 out of 5 Magnum PIs
Excellent. Excellent. Ex. Cell. Ent.

The Feeling have released quite a solid and interesting EP. Unfortunately, I feel like they used their best material on the EP as all the other stuff I've heard from them seems rather mediocre. Nevertheless, the first three songs on this EP are especially awesome. Seriously.

This is one of those CDs that's short enough to listen to over and over and over, but long enough to get to enjoy some REALLY good music for 22 minutes. For those of you unfamiliar with The Feeling, the official website says they're out of Sussex and London and they love pop music. They're fans of progressive rock, smooth jazz, and everything in between. And, once again, they've put together a fine EP.
They just released a new, full-length album, which I've yet to hear, called Twelve Stops and Home. You can hear more of their songs on their MySpace page, but beware the music and the two videos all playing simultaneously creating a cacaphony of "The Feeling." (And, no, that's not a euphemism.) Be sure to listen to I Love it When You Call, even though the beginning sounds like Power of Love by Huey Lewis and the News.

All that being said, if you like slightly melancholy, poppy music, you'll love this EP. If you like happy, upbeat pop, then you'll probably like the other songs on the full-length album. Either way, you can't go wrong. Unfortunately, the full-length album doesn't include my favorite song from them, When I Return. Oh well.
Anyway, if you want to listen to a lot of their stuff for free, check out these links:
